Abstract: This report synthesises findings from 13 peer-reviewed papers addressing the following research question: How does the performance gap between acoustic-enhanced and text-only models vary across different language families on MMSU tasks, and can this gap be reduced with cross-lingual acoustic feature. 10 claims were extracted from source literature; 1 was independently verified against retrieved documents.
