Abstract: This report synthesises findings from 13 peer-reviewed papers addressing the following research question: How do large language models compare to Grammar Guided Genetic Programming in solving code generation tasks involving complex, overlapping data structures on the HumanEval benchmark. 18 claims were extracted from source literature; 2 were independently verified against retrieved documents.
